We learned some basic image manipulation in Photoshop during this class, using various tools to transform, outline, and liquify the images.
I learned a lot during this session, the tutor explained how to use different kinds of tools and methods mainly on how to crop the images. As there were a lot of ways we could do it, I didn’t get the chance to try them all out since I wasn’t really familiar yet. I did ask my teacher about some of the editing stages since I can’t figure them out. At first, I had made a piece of work but wasn’t really fond of it so I changed the whole concept. Since I wasn’t used to the tools yet, I spent quite a long time editing the pictures. I experimented with the tools to produce different outcomes. Honestly, it wasn’t really easy to do as I was kind of overwhelmed with the information I receive during the session, but managed to get it done on time. After a while, it was easier for me to do my second work. I’m also more satisfied with my new work compared to the previous one. I also asked my friend for help with the technique of cropping the images and she was very helpful. At some point, I tried out another tool called the pen tool to color the details, but my teacher said it was more complicated and showed me the easier way instead. Doing it with his method was in fact way faster. In my opinion, this session is far more complex compared to the first session. I had no problems working digitally but just need some time to figure out how to use the applications effectively.
I learned a lot during this class, finding out about techniques I didn’t know existed before. Moving forward, I will try to implement these methods to edit my work for a faster and more effective working process. Using Photoshop will create higher quality outcomes as I used to do all photo editing on my phone. I am thrilled to attend Adobe classes in the future. I know that there is still a lot for me to explore and find out about. I am also aware that seriously paying attention during Adobe classes will be a great help for my work in terms of editing them. I just need more practice to get familiar with them.
